Reflection on South Park:Whale Whores and The Cove

First of all,the episode of the South Park is about the whale wars and to stop the Japanese from killing whales and dolphins in indirect way. Likewise, the cove is the documentary film that analyse the Japan's dolphin hunting culture. This was happen in Taiji,a small fishing village in Japan. The film "The Cove" achieved many awards as it received many positive reviews. When I first watched the film,I don't even know how pity the dolphins are. However, after watching this film,I feel so sorry to those innocent dolphins and the scene when Japanese killing them is terrible and horrifying. The reason why they kill the dolphins is because they eat a lot of fish which are threats to fisherman. Throughout the film, the American group trying to stop the Taiji townsmen from killing the dolphins. From my point of view,"The Cove" points out the strong opinion by sharing real experiences. While South Park cartoon movie is also trying to show the same view upon dolphins,it is not strong enough just because of its short period. It is a good episode and well worth seeing. Some parts of the films are funny. It will make the audience laugh whether they are for or against whaling. Although the writer gives us the moral issues of whaling, the portrayal of the issue is kind of weak. All in all, both "Whale Whores" and "The Cove" are great documentary and cartoon episodes telling that some aquatic animals can become extinct by killing them. Therefore, the American group in "The Cove" trying to protect the animals from extinction.
